Coming back up

Just back from a retreat at Gaia House with Ken Jones, who proved a scarily appropriate teacher for me right now, I hope this is a slow start of recovery from what seems to be much deeper 'burnout' even than I knew. For years and years, all my resources, including meditation practice, have gone into a necessary holding on. Now I think they need to go into letting go, so that energy may arise for what comes next.

A few more photos of Gaia House and surroundings are here.

This resonates with me. I wish I could get to a Gaia retreat. Will always be struggling back up, since I burned out years ago. If it wasn't for mindfulness I would be more of a mess.

Jean, what a delightful bit of synchronicity, meeting you in the loo queue on Exeter station yesterday. A comically mundane venue for a magical meeting! I hope you made a soft landing back home and that you are feeling refreshed and newly inspirited today. Thank you for visiting my blog. Many blessings, Marian.

So happy for you, Jean, that you were able to do this, and wish you continued 'uplifting' in the days and weeks ahead. I love your photos, what a beautiful peaceful place.

Sounds very hopeful and positive. I'd been worrying.

This made me smile and feel so happy for you--also relating. Letting go to let in.

So glad to see you're back, and feeling the sunshine again. I've been thinking about you, wondering...life takes so much courage, doesn't it? I'm very happy to hear that the retreat was helpful, and might have turned a corner for you after all those terribly difficult years.
