(Do you have this annoying optical illusion effect that the top photo isn't straight?

How wonderful!

How do you get the colors to "explode" off of the page like that? Do you use photoshop? Or is it the settings on the camera?

These are exceptionally beautiful. After a second glance of your second photograph and some thought I am reminded of William Blake’s To Autumn. Gorgeous.

I do not doubt you are already quite familiar, but just because why not?....

William Blake's-- To Autumn

O Autumn, laden with fruit, and stain'd
With the blood of the grape, pass not, but sit
Beneath my shady roof; there thou may'st rest,
And tune thy jolly voice to my fresh pipe,
And all the daughters of the year shall dance!
Sing now the lusty song of fruits and flowers.

"The narrow bud opens her beauties to
The sun, and love runs in her thrilling veins;
Blossoms hang round the brows of Morning, and
Flourish down the bright cheek of modest Eve,
Till clust'ring Summer breaks forth into singing,
And feather'd clouds strew flowers round her head.

"The spirits of the air live in the smells
Of fruit; and Joy, with pinions light, roves round
The gardens, or sits singing in the trees."
Thus sang the jolly Autumn as he sat,
Then rose, girded himself, and o'er the bleak
Hills fled from our sight; but left his golden load.

Mistied street lights,
halo-ed moon,
fog blankets on fields,
myriad pearls in the grass,
wild geese screaming,
humans huddling for warmth

Thanks for the beautiful photos and for sharing bits from your life.

It is no optical illusion. The OR of ORANGES is on a slightly higher base than the ANGE and S, thus tipping the whole word a smidgen.

Lovely conjunction of images.

Olga, yes, I think that's the *cause* of the optical illusion, but the *photo* isn't crooked.
