Still

So I went away for a week. But not away from myself, so it wasn't really that much of a break. And it rained a lot. And I wanted to write, but found no words - they were part of what I needed a break from, probably. But there were photos to be taken, and I'm endlessly thankful for the different mode of mind and perception this gives entrance to, the absorbing oddness and beauty. The pond was near to where I stayed. It was a rather new pond, beside a rather new apartment complex, but already a rich, established little world of flora, fauna, shapes and shadows and reflections. More pond photos here.

Jean, these are such lovely artistic photos of a beautiful pond, full of reflections (a trademark of yours!) and so calming and tranquil like a meditation.... no words needed, but full of spirit. Hope they helped you relax and refresh during your vacation.

This is very beautiful. It looks like a drawing. Like you, I am needing a break from my own words and those of others, and images have taken precedence...

Oh Jean, these are soothing. I like them all, but #11 of 18 (the Bridge) really speaks to me.

Don't worry about the words. Keep taking the photos.
