Again



So lovely, the rhododendrons and azaleas in Dulwich Park, and so disconcerting the rate at which their blooming comes around again - not sure if I saw them at all last year. Only a very few are out yet. This year I'll try to pass by more often.

Beautiful. The dark red always seems the hardest to capture for me.

Around here we can extend the season by moving up the mountains. They don't bloom until late summer on Mt. Rainier or Mt. Hood, though they've already started blooming here in the valleys.

They always seem the most impossibly generous things, and yes, you have to catch it as it flies...
