Marja-Leena, wow - your thesis was inspired by Morandi. I adore Morandi's work, but would not have done so at that age, even if I'd heard of him. I'll try and write about the exhibition in London, which, apart from a few late, wonderfully fluid and minimalist watercolours like this one, is of drawings and etchings from throughout his working life - such perfection and stillness of form.

Seeing a Morandi brings back memories of my last year at art school, working on my painting thesis inspired by his still life paintings.
