Thanks Marja-Leena. I'm not sure it's an entirely healthy preoccupation - too much like staring at the shadows on the cave wall, perhaps. But reflections do make for interesting photos.
Really interesting juxtaposition of old and new, in a rather mysterious way. I don't think the depiction of shadows is in any way troubling - if that's what inspires you, that's your individual vision, and it gives the viewer a glimpse of scenes they would have passed by.
I used to take photos of reflections all the time -- there is something about a photo that is already a reflection, isn't there? Nothing unhealthy about it, I say :)
I love not only the lines in this, but also the play of colors.
